THERAPY, COACHING, SUPERVISION
Omoroniké Hamilton, LPC, NCC, MAC
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my focus for the past 15 years, has been assisting those with co-occurring mental health and addiction issues.
In my practice, I create the space for you to work on “your life story.” As your therapist, I utilize techniques in therapy that are creative, solution focused, trauma informed, person-centered, and rooted in different theories and research that support CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, stages of change etc. These techniques work to motivate you and empower you to make the changes you want to make. In other words, your actions reinforce the progress you make as your story unfolds.
Telling your story, the way you want to, means you allow each page to evolve! You can edit, revise, and embrace different perspectives, that support you showing up as your authentic self or as a part of a “tribe”.
Once you choose a starting point, telling your story, in your own words, will help you determine the significance of each chapter. This involves determining what is meaningful, helpful, and relevant. This process also involves determining what needs healing and growth; and what has outlived its usefulness and needs to be let go. Ultimately, you decide when you are satisfied and want to move in a different direction.
My experiences in different roles as a clinical director, program administrator, counseling supervisor, therapist and coach have helped shape my work. My life’s journey, halfway around the world, makes it possible to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds, with different life stories and with different world views.
Dionna Joynes,
Administrative Director
As long as I can recall, I have always been passionate about helping people. As a behavioral health administrator and operations director, the healthcare roles, in which I have served, all had the common denominator of making sure that the client’s care was prioritized. It is very important for me to ensure that clients are seen as people rather than problems, and that treatment is individualized to suit their unique needs and experiences. Away from work, I enjoy being around my family and serving in my community. As an author, photographer and artist, I am interested in creating work that leaves a positive legacy for future generations.
THERAPY, COACHING
Ana Finel Honigman, Ph.D, LGPC
I cherish the warm, convivial, collaborative bonds I build with my clients. Following a doctorate in History of Art at Oxford University, and decades as a writer, curator, and lecturer in art and fashion, I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University, to explore more deeply the human experience. As a regular writer for the New York Times, British Vogue, ArtForum and other publications, I examined creative representations of artists’ interior landscape and engagement with the world. As a therapist, I employ that perspective to guide people from all fields and backgrounds, as they gain greater insight and comfort in their lives.
